San Diego International Beer Festival
When, where: June 25-27, Chevrolet Del Mar Arena
Highlights: This fourth annual event, at the San Diego County Fair, offers unlimited tastings of more than 350 beers from around the world, plus workshops about home brewing and food-and-beer pairing.

ANAHEIM
MLB All-Star FanFest
When, where: July 9-13, Anaheim Convention Center
Highlights: Baseball fans come together for this celebration leading up to the MLB All-Star Game (July 13 at Angel Stadium). The event includes autograph sessions with baseball stars, photo ops with mascots, skills clinics for kids, exhibits about baseball history and vendors selling and buying memorabilia. Hall of Famer Rod Carew is the official host.
Cost: $30 a day; $25 for college students, military, seniors age 65 and older and children age 12 and younger; free for infants younger than age 2

Crested Butte Wildflower Festival
When, where: July 12-18, Crested Butte Nordic Center
Highlights: Take in the color at Colorado’s official wildflower capital with more than 85 hikes and walks, upward of 30 photography and art classes, yoga, educational lectures, learning opportunities for children and a visit to the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory.

Yellowstone Jazz Festival
When, where: July 16 and 17, Cody City Park and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center

Disneyland 55: A Birthday Celebration
When, where: July 16-18, the Walt Disney Family Museum, the Presidio
Highlights: Celebrate Disneyland’s 55th birthday in San Francisco. During this anniversary weekend, you can chat with Disney legends, participate in discussions and watch films that tell the tale of how the happiest place on Earth happened.
