Pepperdine loses; Loyola Marymount rallies

St. Mary’s 88, at Pepperdine 71: The Waves (7-15, 3-3 West Coast Conference) lost for the first time at home in conference play despite 24 points from Keion Bell. The Gaels are 18-3, 5-1.
at Loyola Marymount 68, San Diego 65: Kevin Young scored a season-high 21 points as the Lions (11-11, 2-4 WCC) rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit to defeat the Toreros (8-14, 1-5).
UC Davis 60, at UC Riverside 50: Kyle Austin had 22 points for the Highlanders (8-12, 2-6 Big West), but it wasn’t enough as the Aggies (8-11, 4-3) used a late 10-0 run to put the game away.
Pacific 61, at UC Irvine 50: The first-place Tigers (13-6, 6-1 Big West) won their fourth in a row. Darren Moore and Michael Hunter scored 11 points for the Anteaters (9-12, 3-6).
Long Beach State 69, at Cal State Northridge 68: Casper Ware’s floater with 10.6 seconds left gave the 49ers (9-11, 3-4 Big West) the victory. Vinnie McGhee led the Matadors (7-13, 2-5) with 17 points.
at UC Santa Barbara 80, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 57: James Nunnally scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half, as the Gauchos (11-7, 6-2 Big West) romped over the Mustangs (8-11, 5-3).
WOMEN
at UCLA 104, Oregon 80: The Bruins (13-6, 6-2, Pac-10) had their highest-scoring game of the season, with Markel Walker getting 17 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists against the Ducks (12-8, 3-5).
at USC 61, Oregon State 34: Ashley Corral scored 19 points and the Trojans (13-6, 7-1) defeated the Beavers (9-9, 1-7) for their fifth win in a row. USC had a season-high 11 blocked shots.
