Pepperdine stays unbeaten in conference play

at Pepperdine 83, San Francisco 68: Five players scored in double figures to help the Waves start 3-0 in the West Coast Conference for the first time since 2002. Lorne Jackson led the way with a career-high 21 points. Pepperdine (7-12 overall) and 17th-ranked Gonzaga, the only unbeaten teams in WCC play, will meet Thursday in Spokane, Wash. Dior Lowhorn had 14 points for the Dons (7-12, 2-2).
at Loyola Marymount 81, Santa Clara 70: Ashley Hamilton scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds as the Lions (10-9, 1-2 West Coast Conference) built a 21-point lead in the first half and nearly let it get away. Marc Trasolini led the Broncos (8-13, 0-4) with 17 points.
at Santa Barbara 63, UC Riverside 56: James Nunnally scored 20 points to lead the Gauchos (9-7, 4-2 Big West Conference), who broke open a tie game with a 17-7 run midway through the second half. Kyle Austin had 25 points for the Highlanders (7-10, 1-4).
Cal State Northridge 78, at Cal State Fullerton 72: Lenny Daniel had 20 points and 12 rebounds and the Matadors (7-10, 2-3 Big West) held off the Titans (8-8, 3-2), who got 23 points from Devon Peltier. Northridge led by 17 points with 15:50 to play in the second half.
at Pacific 64, UC Irvine 51: Sam Willard had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Tigers (10-6, 3-1 Big West). Darren Moore scored 18 points for the Anteaters (8-10, 2-4), who trailed 50-29 early in the second half.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 90, at Long Beach State 79: David Hanson scored 22 points to lead five Mustangs (6-10, 3-2 Big West) in double-digit scoring. T.J. Robinson led the 49ers (8-10, 2-3) with 22 points.
