Ivana Suvak and Katherine Inglis envisioned a home store that would offer unusual and affordable gifts from around the world, and their new Santa Monica shop certainly delivers. Goods opened last month with an accordion player and face-painter in attendance. “It’s a tiny store, but it’s nice and lively,” Suvak says with a laugh. “We wanted to fill the store with stuff that we would like to buy ourselves.” The stuff includes boldly colored felt pillows from Kyrgyzstan, Turkish bath towels, beaded jewelry and succulent arrangements that look like works of art. In the photos, clockwise from top: coasters, trivets and utensils from Lebanon; rugs from Kyrgyzstan; and hanging on the wall past the red front door, striped plastic totes from Bolivia. 1748 Ocean Park Blvd., (310) 392-3922, www.goodsla.com.
