Juvenile inmates: An article in the Sept. 28 Section A about a Supreme Court case examining the constitutionality of life-without-parole prison terms for juvenile offenders said California had joined other states two years ago in prohibiting such sentences. A bill to end such sentences did not pass the Legislature.
