A college student suspected of posting pictures of unregistered assault weapons on his MySpace webpage pleaded not guilty Tuesday to six felony counts.
Matthew Corwin, 23, student body president at East Los Angeles College, was arrested April 30 on suspicion of weapons violations and possession of stolen property after students and faculty contacted authorities about the webpage showing Corwin in fatigues and holding weapons.
He was initially charged with 12 counts, but six were dropped by prosecutors after further investigation.
Corwin pleaded not guilty to counts including possession of an assault weapon, possession of a deadly weapon and receiving stolen property.
He remains free on $120,000 bail and was scheduled to return to court July 11.
