After a Los Angeles tryout in January, the new Jason Robert Brown musical “13,” about teenagers coping with being teenagers, is headed to New York next season.
Bob Boyett, who invested in the production at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, said he’ll mount “13” on Broadway in early 2008 at a theater to be named.
Boyett, a television executive turned Broadway producer, said he expects “13” to cost $8 million to $10 million. In addition to securing a theater, Boyett also needs to hire a director.
