I completely agree that alcohol has no place in the team clubhouse. What a no-brainer. And speaking of which, is it just me or does Bill Plaschke [May 13] sound just a bit too righteously indignant for a guy who has personally witnessed this behavior for decades and is only just now speaking up?

My one ongoing criticism of Plaschke is that he writes a sermon when stating a thoughtful opinion would be appropriate. He leaves the impression of a guy who has too much time on his hands, expends it working up a good mad on the topic du jour, and then rants as if nobody has been listening all these years. Puh-leeeze.
