SEC probing Beazer Homes

Beazer Homes USA Inc. said Thursday that the Securities and Exchange Commission was informally investigating whether anyone connected to the company had violated securities law.
The Atlanta-based home builder said in an SEC filing that it would cooperate with the inquiry. It gave no details about the probe. But in the same filing, Beazer said it was sued in federal court in Atlanta in a purported class action filed on behalf of participants in its 401(k) plan.
