Cheechoo caps rally for Sharks

Jonathan Cheechoo scored a power-play goal with 6 minutes 21 seconds left to lead the San Jose Sharks to a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings Monday night in San Jose in Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal series.
Evgeni Nabokov made 29 saves for the Sharks, who took a 2-1 lead in the series.
After the Red Wings took a 1-0 first-period lead, Ryane Clowe tied it in the second period. Then Cheechoo, who was injured by a knee-on-knee hit in San Jose’s first playoff game against Nashville, came through. He hadn’t scored a goal in the postseason until Game 2 against Detroit.
Ottawa 2, New Jersey 0 -- Ray Emery stopped 25 shots for his second playoff shutout and Tom Preissing scored 4:46 into the third period, lifting the Senators over the Devils in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series at Ottawa. The Senators lead the series, 2-1.
Preissing beat New Jersey goalie Martin Brodeur, who made 32 saves, with a high shot from a tight angle in front of the right boards for the game’s first goal. Jason Spezza scored into an empty net at 19:04.
