Sony creating international unit

Sony Pictures Entertainment is creating an International Motion Picture Production department to make international films in local languages.
Sony said studio veteran Gareth Wigan and producer Deborah Schindler would run the division. Schindler, the former producing partner of actress Julia Roberts, was named president of the new division. Wigan is vice chairman of the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group.
