The LAPD is investigating allegations that an off-duty officer fired his gun at his home after his wife said she saw a prowler enter through the front gate.
The incident occurred after midnight Monday, according to an LAPD press release. Officer Chris Walker heard his wife scream and retrieved his service weapon. At some point, officials said, the gun went off, with the bullet going through a window.
The officer’s home had been burglarized earlier, the press release said.
