Dell Stops Selling Branded Music Players

Dell Inc. has quietly pulled the plug on its DJ Ditty music player, less than a year after the world’s largest computer maker launched it to compete with Apple Computer Inc.’s iPod shuffle.
The Round Rock, Texas-based company said it stopped selling the Ditty on Aug. 17. Dell unveiled the Ditty in September, calling it a better value than the shuffle.
