Arts advocate: Danielle Brazell, former artistic director of Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, has been named executive director of Arts for L.A., a new nonprofit that will push for “a supportive and healthy environment in which arts and culture may thrive.”

Tour postponed: A planned U.S. tour by Keane has been postponed while singer Tom Chaplin is being treated for drug and alcohol addiction, the British band said Tuesday. The tour was to have begun in Chicago next month.
