Re “Bush Signs Bill to Save San Diego Cross,” Aug. 15
The federal government will now buy the land around a Christian cross on Mt. Soledad in San Diego and designate it a “war memorial” that obviously excludes Jews, Muslims, atheists and other non-Christians. Isn’t it wonderful to watch our federal government in action on legislation to appease the religious right while healthcare, global warming and other issues are ignored?
