The body that washed ashore in Huntington Beach early Friday was identified as that of a missing Anaheim man, authorities said.
Manuel Tenorio, 20, vanished in the surf Sunday afternoon while visiting the beach with friends.
Three police officers waded into the water about 6 a.m. Friday to retrieve his body near Golden West Street, Huntington Beach Police Lt. Craig Junginger said.
Tenorio was identified later through fingerprints, according to Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
“There didn’t appear to be signs of foul play,” Junginger said.
