Guess Earnings Rise From Product Demand

Youth apparel maker Guess Inc., based in Los Angeles, said its second-quarter profit surged on strong product demand in North America and Europe.
Earnings rose to $13.7 million, or 30 cents a share, from $4.2 million, or 9 cents, a year ago. Sales grew to $231 million from $178.2 million.
