From Times Wire Reports
Brazil’s air force and navy soon will transport to Antarctica more than 100 penguins that were stranded on Rio de Janeiro beaches.
The flightless birds arrive from the Antarctic Circle on ice floes that melt in the vicinity of Brazil’s shore, and they wash up on Rio beaches every winter.
A plane will take the penguins to Brazil’s southernmost region next month. They will finish their journey on a navy ship.
