Two men were injured Sunday when their boat overturned at the Huntington Beach Offshore Grand Prix, authorities said.
Chris Carmody and Roy Schraider, both of Houston, were taken to Huntington Beach Hospital following the 12:30 p.m. accident half a mile offshore from the Sunset Beach water tower, said Jim Amormino, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
Schraider was treated and released; Carmody, 46, was hospitalized for observation after being knocked unconsciousness and pinned beneath the 46-foot speedboat Hidden Agenda, authorities said.
