Teenager Shot, Killed While Out on a Walk

An 18-year-old man walking in a Montecito Heights neighborhood was shot to death Sunday by unknown assailants, police said.
Jesus Gamboa was walking in the 500 block of East Avenue 28 when he was shot several times at 1:30 a.m., said April Harding, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Witnesses said two men fled after attempting to drag Gamboa’s body behind a nearby home from the sidewalk where he was fatally wounded.
