* Santa Ana-based Corinthian Colleges said it would restate revenue for fiscal 2001 through the first three quarters of 2005 after changing the method it uses to recognize revenue for some diploma programs.
* San Diego-based Avanir Pharmaceuticals named Eric Brandt, formerly chief financial officer of Allergan Inc., to be president and chief executive. Irvine-based Allergan said Jeffrey L. Edwards, who has been vice president for corporate development, would succeed Brandt and was named executive vice president of finance and business development.
