Gosh, Didn’t Hockey Try Something Similar?

When I’m watching golf on TV, most of the time it’s difficult to see where the cup is located. Why can’t they superimpose a small white ring around the cup, similar to showing the yellow line in football?
And while they’re at it, have the TV stations use a large yellow dot to show exactly where the ball is in flight.
