Large-Plane Orders Soar to 529 in Second Quarter

Boeing Co. and Airbus booked orders for a combined total of 529 large airliners in the second quarter, up from 161 in the first quarter, an industry trade group said.
The figures compiled by the Aerospace Industries Assn. showed Boeing booked 379 orders in the second quarter, while Airbus booked 150.
