O.C. stuck with Bolshoi Lite

I commend Lewis Segal for revealing the dirty little secret of the missing stars during the appearance of the Bolshoi Ballet in Costa Mesa [“It’s a Matter of Principals,” Aug. 11]. One has only to read the glowing reports on Svetlana Zakharova and Svetlana Lunkina in New York to realize that we’ve been had, especially considering the steep ticket prices here. While the aforementioned A-list stars have been sent on to other places to perform as guest stars, we have been given the ‘B’ team, Bolshoi Lite, because the presenters here don’t know enough, don’t care enough to demand better.
