Calpine Agrees to Sell Plant to LS Power

Calpine Corp., the owner of power stations in 21 states, agreed to sell a Pennsylvania plant to LS Power Equity Partners for $225 million to reduce debt.
The sale of the 550-megawatt power station, called the Ontelaunee Energy Center, marks the third of four planned plant divestitures announced in June, San Jose-based Calpine said.
