An innocent Brazilian shot dead July 22 by British police who mistook him for a London bombing suspect had taken a seat on a train and was tackled by police before being shot, ITV news reported.
British police have said that 27-year-old electrician Jean Charles de Menezes failed to obey an order to stop as they tailed him into a subway station.
ITV, citing security footage, said Menezes entered the station at a normal walking pace. It said an officer described pinning Menezes’ arms to his side and pushing him back onto his train seat before hearing a gunshot.
Investigators declined to comment on the report.
