From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Lappert’s Ice Cream recalled all flavors packaged in 8-ounce, pint, 1 1/2 -gallon and 3-gallon containers because it may contain an organism associated with listeria, which can be fatal to children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weak immune systems.
All packages produced before Aug. 4 are being recalled, but the ice cream produced after that date is considered safe.
