From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Police were searching Friday for a man who killed 10 ducks at a carwash near San Jose.
Authorities said a security camera captured grainy images of the man running over the pet ducks at the Delta Queen Classic Car Wash on Aug. 5, then getting out of his car and slamming several of the birds against a wall. About 15 ducks survived.
“These ducks are an icon in Campbell. Everyone knows these ducks,” Police Capt. Russ Patterson said. “For someone to purposely do this, there’s no reason for it.”
