A chance to relive 1983 US Festival

Haven’t had enough of the ‘80s? Check out plans for the rUSt Festival. The tribute to the 1983 heavy metal day of the US Festival is set for Sept. 24 at the National Orange Show Fairgrounds in San Bernardino -- down the road from Devore’s Glen Helen Park, the ’83 fest site.
The replica lineup includes tribute bands paying homage to Van Halen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden (handling the slot Triumph occupied in ‘83), Ozzy Osbourne, the Scorpions and Motley Crue, while a “legends” stage will feature tributes to non-US Festival acts Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Deep Purple and KISS, the latter by the little-person ensemble Mini-Kiss.
