Authorities Name Suspects in Police Chase

Authorities identified three suspected gang members Friday who are accused of leading Los Angeles police officers on a chase and firing on officers with a handgun, shotgun and a scope-equipped assault rifle.
Michael Vasquez, 18, of Los Angeles, was wounded by police and suffered critical head injuries when the car he was in clipped a big rig and smashed into a tree. The other suspects were identified as Leonardo Padernal, 29, of Los Angeles and Jose Aguilar, 20, of La Puente.
