Long Beach State (1-6) at Gonzaga (6-3), 7, PAX, KRLA (870) -- Long Beach has lost five in a row and seeks its first victory against a Division I school under first-year Coach Larry Reynolds. That’s a tough order against the Bulldogs, who handed North Carolina State its first loss earlier this week.

Utah (5-3) at Pepperdine (5-3), 7:30, Fox Sports Net, KPLS (830) -- Injuries have continued to hit the Waves hard. Junior forward Glen McGowan is sidelined indefinitely because of a blood clot in his left arm, and senior guard Devin Montgomery is sidelined until early January because of a fractured right thumb. Utah has struggled at times and lost to Utah State, 59-54, on Tuesday. Senior Britton Johnsen averages a team-high 14 points.
