More than 80 bodies have been pulled from a Liberian lake after an overloaded ferry capsized, and the death toll was expected to rise, government officials said.
The wooden ferry Papa Friends 2000 pitched its nearly 200 passengers into Lake Piso near the town of Robertsport as they returned from the funeral of a local soccer player Saturday.
Only 15 have been rescued, and Joe Mulbah, minister of transport, said no more survivors were likely to be found. One diver drowned during the rescue.
