Tonight, at Detroit, 4:30 p.m., Fox Sports Net 2 -- Good news for Paul Kariya, nemesis Chris Chelios is doubtful because of a fractured finger. Ducks lost in overtime last time in Joe Louis Arena, but it felt like a victory.
Wednesday, at Buffalo, 4 p.m. -- That guy Hasek, who left Buffalo for Detroit after the 2000-01 season, is home in Czech Republic with Stanley Cup championship ring. Sabres, meanwhile, are an Eastern Conference doormat. Ducks nearly landed Sabre center Chris Gratton in September, Gratton’s loss.
Friday, at Chicago, 5:30 p.m., Fox Sports Net 2 -- Chicago goalie Jocelyn Thibault ranks among NHL leaders in goals-against average (2.03) and shutouts (three). Ducks scored three quick goals on his caddie, Craig Andersson, Sunday.
Sunday, vs. Nashville, 5 p.m., Channel 9 -- Predator defenseman and former Duck Jason York has one goal, two points and is a minus-five in 17 games. Ducks spending $1 million of his salary not to be in Anaheim this season, which is money well spent.
