City and police officials are seeking the help of residents to establish a substation of the Police Department in the southeastern section of the city.
There are two police substations in Huntington Beach, one downtown and another in the Oak View area, police said.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Janet Perez said residents in southeast Huntington Beach have been requesting the substation.
“We’re looking for a storefront-type area in a strip mall, with about 1,000 square feet or so,” she said.
For more information, contact City Hall at (714) 536-5511, or the Police Department at (714) 960-8806.
