7 TONIGHT EL MODENA HIGH
This is a playoff game for Santa Ana Valley, which has yet to play league favorite Villa Park and lost last week to Foothill, 55-20, after leading by 20 points. Valley got some unexpected offense last week from Larry Collins, who scored on interception returns of 65 and 31 yards. No public school quarterback has attempted as many passes as James Burgueno (94 for 191, 1,230 yards) and only two have thrown for more yards: Los Alamitos’ Mike Catalano and Villa Park’s John Henry Jackson. El Modena’s Adam Lancisero needs 67 rushing yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark.
