The city proclaimed November as Buddy Poppy month. Mayor Guy Carrozzo, along with Councilmen Larry Crandall and John Collins, presented commemorative buttons to representatives from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, dedicating Buddy Poppy month to former and active armed services personnel.
