The City Council has received a report from the subcommittee that is working on a funding request from Luther Elementary School to purchase playground equipment.
The school is one of the sites used by the city for the Fit N Fun Program. Approximately 60 students meet after school three days a week to participate in the exercise program.
The committee is working to find out what kind of equipment is already in place at the school, what else is needed for the Fit N Fun program and how much the new equipment will cost.
