Direct-sales giant Amway Corp. unveiled a new corporate structure Tuesday under a new parent company, Alticor. The changes are intended to build a stronger and more diverse worldwide company, Alticor Chairman Steve Van Andel and President Dick DeVos said at a news conference. Amway, based in Ada, Mich., is one of four businesses under the Alticor umbrella. The others are Quixtar, a Web-based sales business; Access Business Group, a business services provider; and Pyxis Innovations, the group’s corporate development arm. The restructuring was first announced in April and included 1,300 layoffs worldwide since May.
