The city is offering a free class this week to residents interested in learning how to prepare their homes for disaster. The class will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Circle, and will include a tour of the Irvine Police Department. Advance registration is required.
