Re “Young Adults Will Weigh In Politically--If Engaged,” Commentary, Oct. 17: I disagree with Jesse Ventura’s assessment. The latest statistics show 75% of today’s youth (ages 16 to 21) do not know who the current vice presidential candidates are. Raising the voting age to age 21 may help, but battling the culture that now perpetuates this problem will prove to be more difficult. Until that time comes, I’ll be content if today’s uninformed youth do not visit the voting booth.
