Kilpatrick Knocks Knights From Ranks of Unbeaten

Jeremy Hartsfield ran for 237 yards and five touchdowns in 27 carries to lead Kilpatrick to a 60-44 Alpha League victory over previously unbeaten L.A. Baptist at Alemany High.
Steve Romero of Kilpatrick (3-4, 1-0 in league) threw fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Matthew Carter and Domingo Cabral to give the Mustangs a 60-37 lead with 56 seconds left.
Romero completed three of five passes for 100 yards with an interception.
The Knights (6-1, 0-1) were led by Steven Graham, who threw for 266 yards and four touchdowns. He completed 17 of 36 passes but had three intercepted.
L.A. Baptist receiver Andrew Petersen caught six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. He also returned a kickoff 94 yards for a score and had an interception.
