Campbell Hall 27, St. Margaret’s 23--Matt Kaplan passed for 126 yards and one touchdown and the Viking defense held one of Orange County’s leading rushers to only 68 yards in 22 carries at St. Margaret’s in San Juan Capistrano.

Campbell Hall also got 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Blake Lichtig. St. Margaret’s Ryan Birtcher, who came into the game with 920 rushing yards, was never a factor.

Lichtig’s second touchdown, a five-yard run with two minutes left in the half, put Campbell Hall in the lead, 14-9.

The Vikings then pulled away--at least temporarily--when Derrick Williams intercepted a lateral and ran it back 45 yards for a touchdown and Sean Jody pulled in a seven-yard scoring pass from Kaplan.
