Reseda 21, Monroe 7--The Regents (2-5, 1-1) converted two turnovers into two touchdowns and a 14-0 lead within the first five minutes at Reseda.
James Tongo scored on seven-yard pass from Matt Diaz after Reseda recovered a botched punt at the Monroe 19.
Three plays later, Anthony Ugolini intercepted a Monroe pass and returned it 37 yards for the Regents’ second score. Ugolini had two interceptions.
Monroe (0-7, 0-2) closed to within 14-7 on a Steve Beltran one-yard scoring run, capping a 13-play, 75-yard drive. The Vikings faked a punt and Beltran completed a 31-yard pass on fourth and 20 at the Monroe 46.
Eddie Robinson’s 32-yard touchdown run in the third quarter capped the scoring. Robinson finished with 75 yards in 16 carries.
