Arts Lecture Event to Focus on Africa

The Focus on the Masters arts lecture series will present a free event at 7 p.m. Tuesday, when founder Donna Granata presents a slide show and lecture on her trip last spring to sub-Sahara Africa.
Granata traveled to Africa as part of an exchange program sponsored by Rotary International, which sent her and five others as cultural ambassadors to visit Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi.
Granata will share her experiences and exhibit the artwork she acquired in the region as well as her photographs.
The event will be held at the Laurel Theater, 1006 E. Main St., Ventura.
