Skateboarding to School

* Re “Skateboarder Takes on Principal’s Ban in a Battle of Wheels,” Oct. 13: Three cheers for Andrew Gazdecki! Here is a fine example of someone who is standing up for his right to get to school in a clean, safe way. Living in smog-ridden Southern California, we should be promoting people to use clean transportation to get to work or school, not hindering them.

I am a teacher and would be proud to see more of my students riding bikes or skateboards to my school. Go get ‘em, Andrew!
