* Thank you to Howard Rosenberg (“Lessons of First Meeting Provide Candidates With a Lose/Win Strategy,” Oct. 12) for pointing out that according to the reactions of (most of) the American people, a presidential election is nothing but a popularity contest. How ridiculous it is that the most difficult thing about being elected is not knowledge, experience, priorities or the ability to see the big picture. Apparently, the most difficult question a candidate addresses is, “Will they like me?”
The American people need to realize that they are not choosing a dinner date--they are choosing someone to run this country and represent us internationally.
