The city will host a Halloween carnival from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31 in the Community Center parking lot at 10911 Oak St.
The event is open to children ages 12 and under and admission is $2 per child (adults are admitted free). The carnival will feature games, prizes and such activities as costume and pumpkin-carving contests. There will also be a snack bar. Information: (562) 430-1073.
