Undefeated Montclair Prep Has No Trouble With Kilpatrick

Gary Sonkur rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns in 18 carries and Montclair Prep scored on seven of its first eight possessions in a 50-0 nonleague victory over Kilpatrick Friday night at Valley College.
Sonkur scored on runs of 26, 21 and two yards, increasing his season total to 1,303 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The Mustangs (2-4) turned the ball over on their first four possessions, each leading to Montclair Prep touchdowns.
Three of those scores came on short runs by Justin Goss, who finished with 103 yards in 15 carries. He also intercepted two passes.
The Mounties (6-0), ranked first in Division XII, limited Kilpatrick to 68 yards. Kilpatrick’s Jeremy Hartfield, who had 542 yards with 11 touchdowns before the game, was held to 36 yards in 14 carries.
Jason Goss of Montclair Prep completed all four of his passes for 68 yards, including a nine-yard touchdown pass to Derek Daniels.
