Music, Dance and Fairy Tales at U.S.-Hong Kong Culture Fest

Chinese fairy tales, contemporary American musicals and twirling dancers will be part of the U.S.-Hong Kong Culture and Arts Festival on Sunday at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
The fourth annual event will feature performances of folk, ballet and modern dances, violin music, singing and martial arts demonstrations. Guest speaker Bonnie B. Hall, executive director of Arts Orange County, will discuss cultural exchanges.
This year’s performers include Chinese dancer Song Xia. Members of the Orange County High School of the Arts also will perform.
The cultural festival is presented by the China Culture and Arts Assn. of USA, an Anaheim nonprofit organization.
The theater is at 4242 Campus Drive, Irvine. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $20. For information in Chinese, call (714) 772-5143; for English, call (714) 449-1245.
