American National Acquires Title Firm’s Arizona Offices

Title insurer American National Financial Inc. in Orange said Friday that it has bought Chicago Title Insurance Co.’s operation in Pima County, Ariz. The purchase adds five offices, four of them in Tucson, to American National’s Arizona network. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company is controlled by the executives at Fidelity National Financial Inc., the nation’s largest title insurer after its purchase earlier this year of Chicago Title. American National’s stock gained 6 cents Friday to close at $2.75 a share.
